The primary objective of the Quality Control Department of ZAROS S.A., through the implementation of the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005 systems it applies, is the preservation of the unique quality of ZARO’S water from the source to the consumer.

In order to achieve this goal, dozens of analyses are carried out daily in the Chemical – Microbiological Laboratory of ZAROS S.A., covering the entire range of the daily production and certifying the high quality of ZARO’S water.

Furthermore, the stable chemical composition of the water from our source is confirmed through quarterly chemical analyses conducted on behalf of ZAROS S.A. by the Institute of Geological and Mineral Exploration (IGME). Regarding the excellent microbiological condition of ZARO’S water, this is confirmed at regular intervals through analyses carried out by the Laboratory of Food and Water Microbiology of the University of Crete.

Another certification of compliance with the requirements of the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 standard has been obtained by the unique natural mineral water of Crete, ZARO’S, from TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS.

Specifically, ZARO’S was evaluated and found to comply with the requirements of the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000 certification scheme for food safety management systems, which includes the requirements of ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-1:2009, as well as the additional requirements of FSSC 22000.

During the inspection, which was carried out at the factory, the headquarters and the distribution centers, the integration of high quality standards in the food safety management system implemented by ZARO’S was confirmed.
